Job Description

  1. Database Admin: should be taking care of both Azure and on-prem database administration
    1. Configure and manage Azure and on prem SQL Databases and other database services.
    2. Perform database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery in Azure and on prem.
    3. Optimize database performance to troubleshoot any issues in Azure and on prem.
    4. Implement security and access controls for databases in Azure and on prem.
    5. Alert handling, Backup/Restore, Job failures, High CPU issues, Handling Blockings/Deadlocks
    6. Knowledge and understanding of T-SQL queries, can write basic T-SQL queries to satisfy business needs.
    7. Well versed In handling and Resolving High priority(P1,P2) issues
    8. SQL Server Upgrades and Migrations
    9. SQL Server Performance, worked on performance tuning of queries.
    10. Root Cause Analysis.
    11. SSIS Job Failures, can debug, and troubleshoot SSIS packages. Worked on deploying packages/Projects as well.
    12. SQL Server patching (Including AG and FCI nodes)
    13. Test and production Servers.
    14. Understanding of SQL Server architecture
    15. Troubleshooting and Analytical skills
